Company Structure | Vessels’ Manning

 

Seafarers employed by the Company are qualified, certified, medically fit and competent to carry out their duties.

The Company recruits seafarers through the use of Manning Agents (Officers and ratings) in accordance with specific contracts between the Company and the Manning Agents.

Officers & ratings deployed to the vessels only after the selection & engagement process is completed, and that Manning levels are always satisfied according to Flag requirements and to Company standards.

The Company plans in advance the replacement of seafarers and keeps records of their. The Company endeavours to recruit seafarers who have previous successful history with the Company. A manning need can be identified by a Master because of an unscheduled replacement of a crew member, or by the Office because of scheduled arrangements (expiration of contract). In the first case, the Master will inform the Crew Manager, who will evaluate the reason for the replacement and initiate necessary process.

 

The Crew Manager shall check references from previous employers (where possible), and evaluate the experience of the seafarer. Also Crew Department controls and evaluates the appointed Manning Agent, so as to ensure crew selection process keeps up with the high standards and goes on according to Company’s requirements and policies.
